Shawn and Nate co-founded Bestige in 2016 with one goal: to build an investment platform focused on long-term holds and influenced by the “human element” of investing. While the two partners co-manage all facets of the firm, Shawn’s operational passion and diverse background perpetuates his natural interest in guiding post-close activities that drive value within the investment portfolio.

Shawn is a senior executive with a proven track record of identifying, managing and implementing operational and financial solutions that maximize value and foster long-term strategic improvement. During his career, he has served in various C-suite roles and as an advisor to both management teams and Boards of Directors. Shawn’s expertise across numerous industries and throughout all phases of the company life cycle makes him ideally suited to assess acquisition opportunities and partner with management teams to improve businesses. “Your ability to understand the human condition, build relationships and connect at a foundational level is often the difference between inspiration and discouragement, between success and failure.”

His passion for driving change and creating value is often augmented with adrenaline adventures including pushing the envelope on his Husqvarna and Pivot in the summer and Armadas in the winter. Shawn travels extensively with his wife and three kids, pursuing authentic experiences which reinforce his world view that empowering those “turning the wrenches” is the best way to consistently “raise all boats.”
