Stephen is a strategic advisor and member of several Advisory Committees for our partnerships. Stephen founded Solano Ventures over 30 years ago as a private equity firm focused on debt and equity investments primarily in the Southwestern United States. After early experiences working on Wall Street and running a public company, he started purchasing and operating businesses. He evolved into investing with control groups, in diverse enterprises such as software design firms, high tech manufacturers, construction-related enterprises, and financial services. Today, Stephen oversees a portfolio of some 50 different businesses, of which he typically serves on their respective Boards of Directors.

Stephen lives in Scottsdale, AZ with his wife Cathy and has 2 adult children with families of their own. Stephen and Cathy have been involved with a number of civic, charitable, and educational causes over the years.
